Reds Tweeps

I once read that Facebook is where you can connect with people who used to be friends. Twitter is for connecting with friends you haven’t met yet. I like Facebook and think it has its place, but I definitely prefer Twitter. It has introduced my family and me to some wonderful people over the last few years.

Many of the Twitter connections were started by discussing Reds baseball. Those online acquaintances have since grown into genuine friendships. It has made going to a game at Great American Ball Park a completely different experience.

The Reds have a Social Media Clubhouse that lists all official ways to connect with the team. Listed below are the official Twitter accounts that have been verified by the Reds and/or Major League Baseball.

@Reds @datdudeBP @Johnny_Bench5
@RedsMuseum @JayABruce @BLarkin_ESPN
@RedsKidsClub @mrLeCure @AaronBoone_ESPN
@RedsAuthentics @MikeLeake44 @TheMayorsOffice
@RedsRallyPack @JohnnyCueto @EricDavis3344
@RedsCommunity @B_Line45 @Corky_Miller
@Rojos_Beisbol @JJ_Hoover

The media members that cover the Reds provide updates and answer questions on Twitter. From the beat writers that cover the team on a daily basis to talk-radio hosts, you can always find news and opinions about the Redlegs.

@FOXSportsOH @JimDayTV @LanceMcAlister
@HalMcCoy_Reds @MoEgger1530 @apjoekay

There are several very informative and passionate Reds blogs on the Internet. Though not officially affiliated with the club, these websites provide a unique perspective into the mind of a Reds fan. Some bloggers have a personal Twitter account to accompany a Twitter account for their blog, while others just use one account for everything. There have been many Reds blogs come and go over the years, so I have just listed the “veterans”.

The best way to talk about the Reds on Twitter is to do so with other fans. I have listed the Reds Tweeps below. If your account is not listed (or is listed and you want it removed), please let me know.
